THE RED KITE REVIEWS

Fantastic time at The Red Kite today. We took our 9 year old Labrador with us and the staff were so friendly and welcoming not just of us but of our dog also. They have a dog friendly area near the bar with an open fire, water bowls and blankets and a doggy menu. The food was amazing and didn't take very long to come. Great pub especially if you are looking for somewhere to come for a meal with your dog. We will be back again soon.

Great friendly reception and patient with our delay in ordering.... too busy catching up to check menus! Service excellent and good advice re dishes. Food was excellent quality and well presented. Mini dessert and hot drink is good value. Good service from Liam, Louise and Cath.

Enjoyed delicious sirloin of beef for Sunday lunch & a super tasty banoffee pie for afters. You can never go wrong with a Vintage Inn and our server, Claire, was lovely and helpful. Great location too, as not far off the motorway for a half way meeting point.

THE HOLMFIELD ARMS REVIEWS

We went with our extended family to this pub. As a collective there are a lot of allergies and dietary requirements which is always difficult to cater for, however these guys were excellent. Had clearly been very well trained on dealing with different allergies and were more than happy to help. The kids loved the play area and were happy to be running back and forth. The staff were friendly and brought the drinks to table so that we didn’t have to wait around for pints topping up as they could see we had a few kids with us. Location wise this is great. You can happy stroll out into Thornes Park which has gardens, duck pond, skate park and another play park.

First visit to The Holmfield Arms for a meal to celebrate my birthday, really loved the food, very well presented and good value. Staff really friendly and helpful. In a lovely setting in the park so after our meal we sat in the gardens for a drink. Would recommend and I will certainly be visiting again in the future.

In a large group, we ate here last night. Poppy and Paige served us hot, tasty food. They were friendly, professional and attentive. Faith at the bar was equally courteous and professional sorting out so many separate bills accurately.

Exceptionally tasty food- particularly the chicken breast burger with impressively large chunky chips- simply cooked to perfection. Very lovely and friendly ladies who provided excellent service. The decor of the pub was beautiful and very presentable- even the toilets were squeaky clean. Atmosphere was also very pleasant and we felt very comfortable. Even the lady I spoke to on the phone who I booked the table with was extremely pleasant- what else could you ask for?! I would definitely come back here and strongly recommend to anyone to dine here at the Kaye Arms.

First time visit today we tried the 2 meals for £22 and they were lovely will be going back staff are friendly and the service was good thanks we had the chicken shish kebabs yummy.

Beautiful Guinness, professional poured by experienced staff. Meal was excellent, and great value for the money. A lovely clean place, well worth a visit. Staff and service was exceptional, will be calling again. Table was booked by Mick Brooke.
