We enjoyed a fabulous Sunday lunch at the Grand Hotel, Sunderland on Sunday 13 August. Turkey cooked to perfection, six tasty vegetables, perfect roast potatoes & Yorkshire puds. Nice restaurant with sea views. Polite & friendly staff. Special thanks to Lawrence the chef for his wonderful cooking.

Fantastic stay at Grand Hotel Sunderland! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, the room was spacious and clean, and the location is perfect for exploring the city. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Sunderland!

Lovely place on the sea front. Very nice room and fantastic food. Friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them. We will definitely be back.

HILTON GARDEN INN SUNDERLAND REVIEWS

The Hilton Garden Inn Sunderland is a wonderful hotel in a quiet location. We were warmly welcomed by Claire and we had our apartment very quickly. The apartment was big, clean and with a nice view. The breakfast buffet had enough variety. All staff were friendly and polite. The food in the restaurant is upscale and tasted very good. A big thank you again to Claire.

Quick overnight stop, place was perfect. Easy to find, staff were really pleasant and very helpful. Room was spot on, not too small, very clean. Ate in the restaurant that night. I had the pork scratchings with chilli jam to start which was stunning, followed by a pepperoni pizza which was a good size and washed down with an Australian Shiraz. All extremely good.

Brilliant hotel. Great customer service. The lady controlling the restaurant during the evening was fantastic, very friendly and extremely professional. Loved our visit and will be back.

ROKER HOTEL REVIEWS

Visited as a weekend getaway as a Birthday treat. The staff were all extremely friendly from the outset. The views are exceptional with views of the wonderful coastline. If by chance we get a period of summer weather then the rooms have a fan you can use to cool the room Complimentary tea and coffee alongside bottled water. Breakfast was served in the hotel which offers a continental option and a buffet style cooked breakfast so plenty to choose from.

We went to let there be crumbs which is a Calvert and coffee place. We had an afternoon tea, fresh made ginger sandwiches, corned beef pie, quiche, cheese scone, fruit scone, cakes and a white chocolate mousse, what you don’t eat you can take home and we had bottomless tea. The service was brilliant and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend a place to go to.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay, eat and drink. Highly recommend a visit. Stunning views and lots to do nearby. great for travelling to and from the area.
