3 Best Parks in Sunderland, UK

Really well organized Festival of Light. This was my first trip to Roker park and it looked like a lovely place to come back to. There were toilets, a lake, it's of grassy areas, miniature train, a couple of play areas and a bowling green. There are several entrances to the park. We used the one that takes you directly to the sea front which is then a short walk to pier view car park. We'll definitely be back for a visit and will be returning for the festival of lights.

Lot's of new lights this year and love the ticketed time slots, means the park isn't too busy. However the entrance could be better sign posted and clearer directions round the park would be good in future. Disabled and pet friendly!

Roker park just off the sea front at Roker a wonderful place for all of the family young and old today there was a model railway display and model boats on the lake plus a model train you could ride an enjoyable day for all of the family there is a play park for the little ones.

Been going here for years, great place to take the kids and one of the few parks where everyone seems to be polite and respectful of each other, two play areas for the kids, one for younger kids and one for the older ones, lovely cafe area too! There's a bowls green, tennis courts, fountains and sensory garden! Loads of wildlife from Squirrels to Herons and rabbits! Beautiful in the summer but also very colour in Autumn and even more picturesque in winter.

Nice place.Nice walk out and great for kids.also dog friendly, small cafe there and car park and sometimes ride round park and talk of fairies etc worth a visit.We love it. So many bits of the park you can visit just on their own. Young children's play area, sand pit, duck pond, big lawns of grass, fountains , streams, cafe, toilets, baby change, sensory garden, blackberry picking in the autumn. Such a wonderful place.

Really lovely park very clean and tidy rest rooms and small cafe great for a coffee park is dog friendly . Lots of wildlife squirrels ducks rabbits great to see park also has a bowling green play parks for different ages and a sensory garden really nice for walks round the lake and woodland.
