Roker Park is a suitable place for walking, especially in the spring or summer. The park is beautiful to visit at any time of the year. Roker Park features a children's railway, basketball courts, tennis courts, play areas, and a model boating lake. Roker Park has two play areas that will delight the kids. The park has lovely floral displays, water features to enjoy, and a fantastic display of lights during the winter. Roker Park hosts a variety of seasonal theatre productions and events. There is plenty of space to run around, kick a football, or play frisbee. The park also hosts events upon request.

2025 Update: Roker Park is roughly an upside-down, reversed 'L' shape. In the northern part of the park, there is the widest and fronts onto Roker beach through a ravine, which passes under a wooden footbridge.
