CAVENS ARMS REVIEWS
Brilliant pub with dining , probably the best in Dumfries & Galloway. The staff are great, Hi to Wayne behind the bar, always a good choice of wines, beers and real ales. The food is outstanding, we have the highland steak everytime. We only stay in Dumfries every 3 yrs or so, but always get in here at least once.
After my most recent visit I have just upped the review to 5 star. Great to see a place that has been in the same hands for years striving to improve further. Have never had a bad meal here but the latest experience was so much better than before homemade chips and a proper flamegrilled burger. Very reasonably priced drinks means that the final bill was a lot less than expected which was an added bonus. A variety on the menu meant all were catered for.
Stopped for lunch on a Sunday while visiting Dumfries. Friendly staff who looked after us. The food was amazing with really decent portion size and reasonably priced. Drinks were good as well with a good selection of draught ales, again reasonably priced. Highly recommended and we are looking forward to returning.

Lockards Farm is a good pub. Friendly service, a stylish and informal setting and delicious food are just some of the things that make Lockards Farm in Dumfries a great place for an impromptu lunch, family meal, cosy dinner for two or drinks and sharer platters with friends. When it’s warm and sunny, dine alfresco in the beer garden, which has a fabulous pagoda with contemporary dining furniture. There’s a fun indoor play zone for pre-schoolers, and a fenced outdoor play area for older children. While they are crawling, sliding, and climbing the play tower, the adults can relax a little; perhaps over a pint of real ale, a craft beer or a nice glass of red wine. The bar has an extensive range of beers, wines and soft drinks. They are all about choice.

LOCKARDS FARM REVIEWS
It's definitely now on my list of to go-to places. Steak was really delicious and was definitely worth a try! Julia was really nice and the food was served quickly. I appreciate the fact that they let me swap my chips to rice. Thanks a bunch!
Staff very very helpful. The place was spotlessly clean even the bathrooms. Nothing was too much trouble at all. The meal was 10/10 and certainly very good value for money. Absolutely no negative comments about our dining experience last evening.
Erin was epic! Had a huge group of people and she took wonderful care of us. The food was really delicious and was out to us in record time even with the large party there. Will definitely visit again when coming this way.

THE SWAN REVIEWS
A familiar location The Swan, under new management, is alive and kicking. It's good to see The Swan at the top of it's game again. I went there for a family meal (two adults and two young children) and was blown away by the whole experience. The atmosphere, the food, the service. All brilliant. We were greeted with a warm smile and shown to an ideal table ? space for the kids to stretch out. We felt like we had our own VIP section. The food was gorgeous and substantial. The server advised on the pudding and it did not disappoint. The portions are very generous so make sure you don't snack before you visit. We will definitely be returning for round two (three and four).
A fantastic afternoon here at The Swan in Kingholm Quay, Dumfriesshire Scotland. My wife and I stopped here to visit with friends and enjoy a late lunch. Our food was outstanding with excellent service provided. Loads to choose from on their menu, portions were very generous and worth price paid. Nice atmosphere with indoor and outdoor dining. It's definitely a quality place to stop and have a drink or two enjoying the scenic views around. I highly recommend this place and will be back someday.
