3 Best Seafood Restaurants in Dumfries & Galloway, UK

Was in for lunch today 30th August'24 with friends, can't say enough about this experience. Food was brilliant, service was brilliant, even our dog was well looked after. I asked for a pot of tea and it is the only place where I was given a pot of tea and also a pot of boiling water, great attention to detail. If you are in Dumfries this is the perfect place to go for a meal and the prices were also very reasonable. Well done to all the staff, I hope the owners appreciate you all.

I would say booking is a must. We had a party of 9. If we did not book, we would not have got in. Great atmosphere in here for a Sunday tea time. The tables were full. The food was very good, and gluten-free options were available. I had the fillet of pork and creamy whiskey sauce with chunky chips and veg off the Christmas menu. Very delicious. And to top it off gluten-free Christmas pudding with ice cream. Service was good and staff were very friendly and helpful. Good place to go for food.

My daughter and I had lunch in this dog friendly establishment where my little Frenchie was also furnished with a towel and water too. We were even able to sit inside. The fish and chips we selected were freshly cooked and battered and the chips were almost certainly chipped in the kitchen and tasted delicious. The crumble and custard we found room for was amazing and the portions of everything ample. If we are anywhere near in the future we will definitely return. A big thanks to all the staff who were attentive without being intrusive.

We were a family of 5 (including a toddler) and the staff were very accommodating to us all. Two staff members stood out (sorry I can’t remember your names) the lady originally from Nottingham who was extremely helpful telling her places to visit with the kids and offering my toddler some colouring when she started to get abit upset and the man who was new who served us he was really polite and again very helpful. The food was delicious it’s very rare everyone is happy with their food in a family of 5 but it was incredible. Best food I’ve had since visiting Scotland and well priced for the portion size. Highly recommend I wish I could give more stars. I hope to return again before we leave for home.

Me and the wife was in the area for the weekend was recommended this place. What amazing food presentation fantastic and the staff can’t do enough for there customers highly recommend.

Food is simply delicious with fresh ingredients and perfectly cooked. We had nachos with cajun chicken, garlic mushrooms, salt and pepper chicken noodles and mixed burrito and they were all excellent. The main courses did take a bit longer that we would've liked to come out, and the double espresso that I ordered tasted more like a really strong coffee than an espresso. Overall an excellent bar/restaurant with some room for improvement.
