THE CHESTERS REVIEWS
Was served and looked after by Megan on Monday and she was honestly incredible. Even while busy she always made extra time to check on us, kept the dogs water bowls refreshed and gave amazing recommendations. We were in for most of the afternoon and had a lovely time, food was decent, drinks were reasonably priced and we all look forward to returning when back in Sunderland.
Great service by all, our function went amazingly and I can’t thank Alex enough for all her help through the process of the event and answering all my many questions. The room was decorated beautifully and made the day extra special. Lily who was serving us was lovely too. Definitely recommend this place for functions.
Decent food and ales. Service was good from Alex I think the till said. The older woman was helpful and friendly too. Only let down would be the other skinny girl with shaven head, found her quite rude when serving me and was looking at her phone when serving me. Other than that couldn’t fault the pub.

THE WOLSEY REVIEWS
Lovely pub very inviting. Food was tasty fulling and well worth the money.. Staff were lovely and very helpful, asking if I needed help to carry my drink from the bar to the table as I use a walking stick to get about. Would highly recommend to any wanting a proper meal or a light bite to eat as there is plenty to choose from.
Had the dog with us so chose to eat in the beer garden, but you can have dogs inside at the far end of the bar. Homemade chips are lovely. Good portion sizes and good value Vegetarian options: Not many veggie options but the Bangkok burger was tasty and homemade.
Had sunday carvery with my sister. Went at 12 20pm. No seats inside but plenty outside on the terrace. Hardly any queue. Paid for 2 large lunches. Beef and turkey was smashing. All veg was hot and tasty. Really enjoyable lunch.

THE COOPER ROSE REVIEWS
Place was packed as Pink was on at Stadium, ordered food via app, 50 minutes still no sign but tables around us had been served and finished. I queried this, was told it was a 30 minute wait, i said i had been waiting 50 minutes, was then told there had been an error with my order and I'd have to wait another 40 minutes. I asked to speak to the manager, a guy called Sam, he was fantastic, made our order a priority. Made all meals large/extra and got us a round of drinks, apologised profusely. If it was not for Sam rectifying the problem immediately I'd be giving this establishment 1 star but he went above and beyond in my opinion.
Excellent JD Wetherspoon, plenty of areas to sit, eat & drink! including a new roof terrace where you can get some wonderful views of Sunderland. Staff are really good and hard working. The wetherspoons app is brilliant too.
Been here a couple of times always THE place to go in sunderland. Today I'm here with our lass fir the PINK concert and I had the sirloin steak(medium rare)with chips, pint stella, belinda had the pepperoni pizza. Both were amazing, steak was cooked exactly as I like, pizza was as it should be,cheesy, greasy(in a good way),crispy n floppy. Drinks straight away, food 15-20 minutes. All this for only £24.. 100%.5/5 10/10. The atmosphere is great too.
