We had our Spring wedding at The Normans and are so glad we picked this venue. It is a beautiful, rustic, authentic place, tonnes and tonnes of gorgeous fairy lights to enhance it but has also kept its natural charm with lots of original features. Even on a chilly, windy spring day, it was warm and cosy which was exactly the vibe we wanted! From day one, the communication from Oliver and Sharon was fantastic. They made us feel like the only engaged couple on the planet! They went out of their way to accommodate what we asked for, answered questions promptly and were so warm and professional as well. We cannot thank them and all the staff enough for being a part of our special day.

It was an absolute dream to get married at The Normans. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, and such a great space. We had guests commenting all day to us about how perfect the venue was, and how well the day ran. Oli and Sharon were amazing throughout and ensured the day ran so smoothly. Their communication was excellent throughout; They were so helpful and supported us throughout the whole process in every way they can, putting us at ease both in the run up before and then on the wedding day itself. They were super friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. We couldn’t recommend The Normans enough.

We had our wedding at The Normans in May and it was truly wonderful. The venue is beautiful, the catering amazing, and the team couldn't do enough for us. There was wonderfully quick communication throughout the planning process and no question was too much. The day ran so smoothly with their on the day guidance and we had the absolute best time!! We couldn’t be happier with our choice of venue for our wedding day. From the very beginning, the staff was attentive, professional, and genuinely invested in making our day unforgettable. The venue itself was absolutely stunning, we wanted a place that was both romantic and rustic which Hornington is perfect for. The place is beautifully maintained, with breath taking views (both outdoors and indoors). One of the things that really made the difference was the onsite accommodation. All of our family members could stay at the venue, which meant we were all together under one roof. It was great to not have to arrange multiple hotels, logistics, and transfers. From grandparents who appreciated the ease of staying close, to kids loving having enough space to roam safely, the accommodations were comfortable, clean, and exceeded expectations. Everything was set up exactly how we had envisioned it, and the team went above and beyond to ensure the day ran seamlessly. We didn’t have to worry about a single thing on the day .We were able to fully relax and enjoy every moment.

Hornington Manor was the first wedding venue we visited after being recommended by a friend. Safe to say we didn’t view any others. As soon as we arrived we knew it was the place for us. From the amazing surroundings to the luxurious Manor House and shepherd huts, it catered for everything we needed. Ember was absolutely brilliant and couldn’t do enough to ensure everything went smoothly. We were in constant contact via email and visited the venue a few times for wedding fairs and to see the new renovations they had done which have updated the venue perfectly. The whole day was absolutely perfect and we cannot recommend the venue and team enough. Wish we could do it all again and will definitely be returning in the future.

A quick one night stop in one of their beautiful shepherds huts. Cosy, warm and clean, well equipped. Super comfortable bed and decent power in the shower that had me ready for my busy day ahead. Location was a 25min drive into the center of York. As a female lone traveler, I felt really comfortable, staff that I met were really friendly. I'll definitely be extending my next work trip for an extra night or two to really enjoy the idyllic location.
