A lovely cafe, a step Back in time to a more traditional cafe where quality and value for money matter to the owners. A little walk out of town but worth it... Nice to get away from the large high street chains who don't really care about the locals, it's economy and supporting local businesses.. Give it a try.

A lovely old fashioned cafe and bakery. It has the beams and ambience of an ancient dwelling and the owner has lived there all her life. We had a pleasant lunch and conversation in what must be a real cornerstone of Newbury life.

Fantastic local café and bakery. Very helpful staff, with an extensive range of goods. They have been trading for over a 100 years and are still family owned. Prices are very good compared to the big chain outlets.

A lovely little Bakery and cake shop Staff always very friendly, helpful and polite . The bread ,rolls and cakes are all delicious. I especially love the iced fingers . Unfortunately today my bun came in pre wrapped plastic rather than the nice little paper bags . The icing stuck to the plastic which was very disappointing. Please can we have the usual paper bags instead of this nasty plastic . Thank you.

Amazing proper bakery, what a find! The staff are absolutely lovely and very helpful! The loaf I brought is fantastic, fresh, crusty and actually tasty! Hoorah! I’m glad I took a chance bought 3 so I could freeze a couple down, reasonably priced too! Well done for providing a great bakery!

This bakery is a gem. It offers a wonderful selection of fresh bread, delicious pastries, sandwiches and many more. Staff is very friendly, and they prepare your order the way you want it. Highly recommended.
