Never disappoints, Archie served us today and was really great with our 3 year old, chatting away and really attentive. This is the best place for food and service in Newbury bar none! All the staff have the same positive, friendly attitude and it clearly comes from the leadership of the management staff who are great. We're very lucky to have this place so local to us.

Amazing vegan breakfast ("The Plant Plate"). Had never had the "Ogg" eggs before; was afraid they'd be too much like chicken eggs. They were light and fluffy and delicious with the Sriracha sauce provided, and not "eggy" at all. Everything else was equally tasty, if more familiar. We both ordered the same thing, and loved every bite. Wish I could give more than 5 stars for the food. Service was fast and friendly. Go there!

First time here and it was the best vegan breakfast I've had. I had an extra of smashed avocado along with my plant plate breakfast. It was presented beautifully and tasted divine! The staff were friendly and I loved the decor. Really nice place - will definitely return! The blue light card is accepted here.

Quite busy when we went, due to it being half term and the “Kids eat free” offer. However, no complaints at all. Food was fresh and hot! The carver was working tirelessly and was really friendly, staff seating everyone looked like they had been kept very busy for a while; but attentive and friendly. Our server was Liam who was super friendly, helpful, had a great sense of humour and such a lovely personality. Could not fault a thing - thank you to the Newbury Team. Kid-friendliness: Extremely family friendly as always.

Was pleasantly surprised ordering a delivery Toby for the first time been to the restaurant many times. Food presented well, hot, plenty of it and delivery arrived before expected. Nice one, will defo ordering delivery again. Thanks guys 10/10.

Good roast dinner, if a little on the cool side. Not too busy so nice and quiet. Lovely ice cream sundae, made to our taste by server Liam. Thank you. A lovely young man who looked after us very well. Enjoyed the visit.

COBRIZO LOUNGE REVIEWS

We stumbled upon this place accidentally on our way home from Bristol. There was plenty of seating both inside and outside, but since it was a hot day we decided to sit inside as there was no shade outside. The staff were friendly and attentive, we got seated quite soon. The food was good, everyone enjoyed what they had. I had some tapas and a side of sweet potato fries. It was all very tasty. My only comment on the food is the bread ‘fingers’. The whipped feta was delicious, but the little bread fingers it came with were super dry. I know they were toasted, but it became really dry. We liked the atmosphere too, nice moody and cosy decor, various types of seating options, at normal tables or armchairs etc. My only issue was the noise level. Although, the place itself wasn’t too busy when we were there it was extremely noisy. The music was loud, staff was what I can imagine emptying the dishwasher or washing/tidying up making lots of noise behind the bar area, felt like we were sitting in the kitchen in a busy canteen. Well, this is just my experience, someone else might not mind it. Otherwise, good place, would recommend it.

We had an impromptu stop at Newbury and not knowing the place much we thought Cobrizo Lounge looked right up our street as we walked by. A brief look at the clear menu outside this confirmed it for us, so we went in. Lovely atmosphere, attentive staff, lovely variety of choice on the menu. The food was great, as were the drinks and we were all happy and full to continue our journey home. If it was local to us we would be back again to sample more of what the menu had to offer.

Lovely atmosphere and the staff are wonderful, really friendly and welcoming with our (pretty irritating) dogs! Food was okay, lots of vegan options but very expensive for what it is and took a very long time to come out. But overall was good.
