We recently had the pleasure of dining at Cote in Newbury, a modern all-day French brasserie chain that boasts a menu filled with regional specialties and traditional classics. From the moment I stepped in, the warm ambiance and inviting decor set the stage for what turned out to be a truly delightful culinary experience. The staff at Cote Newbury played a significant role in making our visit memorable. Right from the beginning, we were greeted by the friendly and professional waitstaff, including the attentive waitress, Alice, and the courteous waiter, Virvan. Their genuine warmth and eagerness to ensure a pleasant dining experience were evident throughout our time at the restaurant. Our dining experience was elevated by the expertise of the waiter, John, who guided us through the selection of cheeses for the cheese platter. John's approachability and wisdom in curating the perfect cheese assortment were truly commendable. His recommendations showcased a deep understanding of flavor profiles and a genuine enthusiasm for sharing the best the restaurant had to offer. In conclusion, our visit to Cote in Newbury was nothing short of spectacular. The combination of delectable cuisine, attentive service from staff like Alice, Virvan, and John, and the overall welcoming atmosphere makes Cote a must-visit for anyone craving an exceptional French dining experience.

My husband and I visited to celebrate my birthday, as soon as we arrived we were greeted by Kayleigh, who was very bubbly and welcoming. The birthday card on the table was a lovely little extra touch as was the surprise French toast and the staff signing to me - we had a wonderful breakfast, the food and the staff were topnotch! Would highly recommend.

Went for lunch for a family birthday. The team gave us such a warm welcome and we were kindly treated to a welcome drink. The service was so friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Everyone was very happy with the food which was delicious. This was the second time I've been to Cote and been very impressed both times.

Booked a table online last minute for myself and husband. Ordered food quickly even with a young girl training. Food came out hot and full of flavour. I had the gyros and my husband the ultimate curry plate which he thoroughly enjoyed. Ordered drinks from table which came at a reasonable wait time as seemed busy. Staff are always friendly and cheerful.

Love coming here. The food is always good with plenty of choices. The best thing is the staff, they are so friendly and helpful and you always get a smile. I just want to mention Becky as she is so lovely & very helpful.

Great Visit, will definitely be back! Served by a trainee who was overseen by the manager and served very quickly and courteously, food was delicious and served in a timely manner! All staff members were very polite, patient and couldn’t do enough to help. Amazing all round service, coming back very soon.

We came there by chance as we were driving by and it is a very nice place to visit, quite popular by the business of it, the atmosphere is very friendly and relaxing with a feel of luxury. The dishes are prepared carefully and served with a spectacle that adds to the experience. The mix of flavours and ingredients enhance the experience. Staff very friendly and caring, would definitely recommend if in the area.

Highly recommended. I had lunch with three friends. The food was fabulous, the charming service was attentive yet not intrusive and the nicely spaced, bathed in natural light dining room created a lovely atmosphere. We ate from the lunchtime special menu which changes daily. I had delicious chicken will a glorious sauce and great vegetables. The grounds are delightful with marvelous sculptures. It would be a joy to dine al fresco in the warmer weather. A return event had been planned already.

I've eaten here on a few occasions, and the whole experience always delights me. The food is created with care and passion using fresh (very, often from the restaurant's own garden)ingredients that are in season. The flavour combinations are perfect - bold and often eye-opening. In the bar, the mixologist is a magician, putting forward magical twists on well loved favourites, and the sommelier is always happy to recommend the perfect pairing for your food. The front of house staff are warm and engaging, never obtrusive, and the moment I leave, I'm dreaming about my next visit.
