3 Best Bed And Breakfasts in Colchester, UK

Vanessa and her partner Max are fantastic hosts! I have stayed several times since a few months at the River Bed and Breakfast when I come to the University. The place is spotless, very cozy, well decorated and very comfortable. You have your own entrance with your own key (which is very convenient), your own bathroom and 2 bedrooms (one with a single bed and one with a 2person bed). Vanessa will bring you your breakfast in the morning (she is very accommodating, asking you at what time you want your breakfast and what you want to eat). The place is also very well located, at 2 min from the bus station and from a Co-op and 5min from the train station. Overall, this is a great B&B and I highly recommend it.

Vanessa was so welcoming and accommodating and made us feel immediately at home. The annex is a very inviting space and was in pristine condition, not a spot of dust to be seen! The breakfast was amazing; the freshly baked scones were especially good. We would highly recommend The River BnB and would definitely stay there if we're ever in Wivenhoe again.

Couple is very kind and rooms are very comfortable! Breakfast was exactly as stated, light and delicious.

We stayed here for two nights covering a family wedding. Really pleased with the hotel though we didn't try the dinner/evening meal option so can't comment. Had comfortable room, comfortable bed (little bit high for one of us). Rooms cleaned daily if wished which we prefer. The manager is clearly very hands on with the hotel, one minute watching over brekkie (very good btw) the next sorting a taxi for a guest when rhe firm wasn't answering and then clearing up a spill from the floor. The location is very convenient, walkable to the Town Hall for the wedding and also just next to a lovely park All in all a very good stay.

I dont tend to give reviews however i stayed for 1 night on 7th october and i habe to say the duty manager that day/night went over and above her role! She was amazing! The hotel was clean and fabulously decorated for Halloween! Please if premier inn read this review can she please have a reward as in my eyes it is well deserved! She had dark hair and nose piercing! She was fabulous.

Lovely Hotel very comfortable beds clean spacious room. Wood definitely stay here ear again NJ.
