“The Cocoa Tree Shop is an independent, family-run chocolatier and café that sources fine speciality chocolates from Scotland, Belgium, and around the world, including single-origin chocolates from carefully selected plantations. Sophie Latinis is the owner, passionate about fair trade, responsibly grown chocolate, and unusual, exquisite flavours. She also creates her own bespoke chocolate range, Handmade in Pittenweem, which includes exclusive single malt liqueur chocolates, beautifully presented in wooden gift boxes. The shop invites visitors to enjoy chocolate in many forms: luxurious hot chocolate drinks, decadent mochachinos with white or dark chocolate, cacao tea infusions, or chocolate bars paired with complimentary artisan teas. For those who prefer savoury dishes, the cafe offers a thick mixed bean stew made with cocoa, providing a subtle chocolate twist on a hearty classic. The Cocoa Tree Shop offers amenities that include free Wi-Fi, high chairs, and baby changing facilities, and a child-friendly environment. Dogs are welcome at the shop’s discretion. The cafe accepts all major credit cards, except Diners Club and Amex.
2025 Update: They offer quality coffee and speciality tea infusions, alongside their traditional ‘à l’ancienne’ dark, white, hazelnut, dark soya and intense “Caliente” chilli chocolate drinks.”
