Wow, completely surprised and impressed by this Nepalese / Indian buffet in Cowdenbeath. Cost for a family of four was £51.70. Excellent value: starter, soup, over a dozen main dishes, and dessert selection with ice cream. Men's bathroom was the cleanest I've seen after a month in the UK. If you're in the area, definitely worth a stop or even a special trip: you leave full and impressed.

I struggle with spicy food but love Indian dishes so Shimla and their massive buffet is PERFECT for me! Sometimes I don’t always fancy a curry, so I tend to stick to the starters and have 2 portions, then enjoy the ice cream and strawberry sauce. The BEST spicy onions in any Indian restaurant I’ve ever had. Ever.

Very nice place, clean, efficient, you get a drink and food as soon as you walk in no time wasted great service!

Went in for a lunch today. Food and value were second to none, service was fantastic. On a Thursday lunch service the restaurant was understandably busy but service was fast, attentive and professional. I had a stale poppadom. When I mentioned it, the staff were apologetic and replaced it with 2 more immediately! I could not fault the meal, the friendly service and the PRICE! £11/12.95 for a fresh meal at lunchtime fantastic, you struggle to get a Burger King for that! We'll be back soon.

Just the best lunch choice and service as always first class. The draft Cobra beer always served perfectly. We enjoy the atmosphere and highly recommend.

We had an amazing experience here. The staff were very welcoming. The food was tasty, piping hot yet the waiting was short. Good quality food yet reasonably priced. Great atmosphere. It's a shame we live 7 hours and only visiting the area but Dunfermline should be very proud to have this establishment on their doorstep! Thanks for the hospitality and keep up the good work guys.

Excellent food and heartwarming service. We went here twice in a matter of 4 days during a Scotland tour with family. The staff and the chef went above and beyond to provide us with excellent service even as they were preparing to close for the day. Food was delicious and among the most authentic Indian food I’ve had in the UK! Kudos to the team.

Great meal and service.We went there on Mother's Day.All of the staff went above and beyond with complimentary drinks for the ladies on what was a very busy day for them.Look forward to returning soon.
