St Barnabas Cathedral Nottingham was built between 1841 and 1844. The interior, designed in the English Plain Gothic style by Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin, has served as a place of worship for over 180 years. St Mary's Church is a welcoming and student-friendly church that offers Christian worship through traditional and family services with its acclaimed choir. In addition to its civic status, it is also the university church for the University of Nottingham, and several schools and organisations hold annual services there. The current building, over 500 years old, is the third on the site and was historically used for civic and legal purposes, including mayoral elections and ceremonies. St Peter's Church is a historic building with numerous modern features, where you will find an exceptional retreat of peace and tranquillity. The church attracts people from across the community for worship, prayers, and masses, embracing a diverse congregation from various backgrounds and countries. St Peter's Church features an organ built in 1812, which continues to support the choir during services and events despite numerous renovations and expansions to accommodate the growing community. The medieval chancel arch remains, although it has been altered with a gallery in front and extended almost to the level of the capitals. The worship at St Peter's Church is mostly centred on the leading Sunday morning, which begins at 10.45 am and ends at around noon, accompanied by coffee and tea.
