Here’s The Deal:
St Mary's Church is one of the oldest historical churches in Nottingham. The church is a welcoming and student-friendly church in the heart of Nottingham. The church offers Christian worship through traditional and family services, with their acclaimed choir. As well as its civic status, it is also the university church for the University of Nottingham, and several schools and organisations hold annual services here. The current building, well over 500 years old, is considered the third church on the site. It was the town’s most extensive building, used for civic and legal purposes, including the election and swearing-in of the mayor and corporation. In addition to its function as a place of worship, the church is the venue for a wide range of concerts and public performances. Here’s The Deal:
St Peter’s Church is an Anglican church located in Nottingham's city centre. It is one of the ancient buildings with several contemporary features, where you will find a remarkable oasis of peace and tranquillity. The church attracts people from all over the community for worship, prayers and masses. St Peter’s Church has an organ that was built in 1812. Over the years, the church has faced many renovations and expansions to hold and serve the fast-growing community. The organ still helps the church choir during worship and other events. The church mediaeval chancel arch remained, though it had a gallery in front of it and was built up almost down to the level of the capitals. The worship at St Peter’s is mostly centred on the leading Sunday morning, which begins at 10.45 am and ends at around noon, accompanied by coffee and tea.
