Swanston Golf Course Ltd is a very testing course set on the north-facing slopes. The 8th hole is a 216-yard par 3 played from an elevated tee over a sea of gorse bushes, with more down the right-hand side. There are six par threes and no par fives, but do not let that give you the impression that this is an easy course. The memorable hole is the seventh, which is 435 yards slightly uphill and with a slight dog-leg to the left, and is nearly always playing into a stiff breeze. Scott Gourlay’s (SGGT) acclaimed golf club fitting and coaching studios are based in the Academy. In addition, they have a wheelchair-accessible car park and entrance facility.

2025 Update: Swanston Academy is the leading golf club owned and managed by Scott Gourlay of Scott Gourlay Golf Technology SGGT.
