Great location very clean and bright rooms, excellent breakfast good choices even had Haggis restaurant had limited menu although dining out is best bet we found a brilliant Indian Nepalese restaurant really good food, staff we're excellent very polite helpful and friendly. Walking to castle and royal mile was easy and not far at all although a few hills to negotiate, only one suggestion would have liked fried eggs as well as scrambled . Would definitely book again.

This hotel was clean and the staff was super nice! It was odd getting to my room with the way it was connected but didn't take long to get a hang of it. The room itself was facing a louder part of the street so I did hear a lot of noises but had my ear plugs to help with that. It's in a great location too so you don't have to go far to get anywhere!

Stayed here when our flight was cancelled. Super friendly staff, restaurant food good, takeaway breakfast generous. Rooms clean and surprisingly quiet, comfy beds. Staff will keep luggage on checkout day. Recommend.

MOTEL ONE EDINBURGH ROYAL REVIEWS

Great hotel right in the heart of Old town and close to new town. Walking distance to everything and across the street from excellent coffee shop. Fabulous lobby and bar with great breakfast and lots of seating for hours of people watching. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Easy walk from train or tram. Rooms were clean but small. Highly recommend this hotel and would go back.

Very lovely hotel, staff was so welcoming and helpful, cleanliness was amazing, the rooms were compact but cozy. Only wish the restrooms had better exhaust systems/filtration but besides that definitely recommend staying here especially if you’re in town for a while. The location is right near many main sites in the city and right next to the train station!

Friendly staff on check in, nice modern hotel. Room was great, spacious and clean. We went with a room with a view and it was worth it. Bed was super comfy. Very sound sleep both nights, no noise disturbance which was greatly appreciated. Great location and value for money, I would recommend to family and friends and definitely book again if coming to Edinburgh. Dog friendly too.

Craig was super helpful when checking us in. Came for a bonus break and couldn’t fault one bit of the hotel. Also the lady on reception when we checked in and checked out unsure of her name but she was lovely, very smiley and welcoming and made sure we were able to leave bags both times. The hotel’s facilities are clean and at an excellent standard. Craig was helpful with information we asked for and even extra recommendations. Everything was great from start to finish and made our trip to Edinburgh a lovely experience.

Rooms are clean and comfortable and the customer service was excellent - the reception staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. Great location as well for walking to the castle and the Grassmarket. Will definitely stay here next time I’m in Edinburgh.

Our stay has been great. Comfortable rooms and very helpful staff. Housekeeping was very flexible. Staff member, Magda, has been very helpful and accommodating. Would definitely return.
