NOVOTEL EDINBURGH CENTRE HOTEL REVIEWS
We had a great stay, the location was great and the staff were super friendly and helpful. We had a family room, so as I read in some other reviews there were some stains on the carpet but I would expect that in a room where kids are just going to make messes over and over again. The bathroom was nice and everything was clean. We will definitely stay again if we ever make it back to Edinburgh.
Was great for our family trip to Edinburgh, Craig on The front desk was super helpful. Kids eat free for breakfast and really enjoyed the waffle machine! Is on the sightseeing bus route too so easy access to the usual touristy sights.
Great hotel in central location. Room was comfy. Small cafes within walking distance and restaurant attached to hotel served food till late. Small pool which was great for the kids.

WALDORF ASTORIA EDINBURGH - THE CALEDONIAN REVIEWS
Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh is amazing and very special to our heart. We discovered this last year and were blown away with the services and the most courteous staff. I love being in the hotel with my family and love the professionalism of all its staff the front desk the door the concierge the restaurant everyone is amazing. Christine at the front desk who checked us in in the most amazing person and (breakfast)restaurant people are all so hardworking and very well trained at what they do. the food is amazing so Kudos to all the entire staff of Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh, the best hotel in the world :)
This is probably the best Hilton in the UK. The hotel is in a historic building, looks very impressive while very clean and does not feel dated at all. The shampoos and the creams are in big reusable containers - sustainable and high quality. The pool is very conveniently located inside and is very calm to use. I appreciated that it has child-friendly times too. If you get a room with a view on the castle, it's spectacular. The service overall was superb, fast, friendly, effective. The bar downstairs is really nice for afternoon drinks. For the breakfast, the selection that is laid out outside is relatively limited, note that you can order from the menu.
This is one of the best and most prestigious hotels in Edinburgh and when you walk in it certainly feels like it. The peacock alley bar and breakfast is amazing and the service is impeccable. The only thing I would say is my room was smaller than expected and the spa and pool is quite old and needs upgrading. But apart from that it’s a fantastic place to stay, close to to all major sites and ideal for the fringe. It’s an expensive hotel but well worth the stay.

MOTEL ONE REVIEWS
Clean, quirky, friendly and very reasonable! Even had a luggage lift for my friend who’d injured her back right before the trip. I liked that the room had a security window but could still open for fresh air. Teapot with good assortment of tea n coffee, plenty of towels. Fantastic lobby - great for a drink after walking all day. And so convenient! In the center of everything! Right by the train station, oldest bar in Edinburgh (or so they claim). I didn’t try the breakfast buffet but a one minute walk got me to The Booking Office - good hot breakfast half the price of London. Would definitely stay here again.
Stylish, modern, staff seems happy to work there. Very helpful and attentive. Quiet rooms comfy beds. The breakfast, wow! Definitely get the breakfast! Highest quality ingredients and vegan options. Right in the heart of town, walking distance to all the sights! Perfect, really.
I loved this hotel… perfect location by train station. I think it’s better to have easy on and off access to and from travel points (and I arrived by train so…) and then be able to explore after dropping off luggage! I would def stay at this location again and will look for other locations when traveling.
