TOP 3 BELFAST CASTLE REVIEWS

Well, what a place! A beautiful castle (aka Cat Castle) surrounded by fabulous countryside. We visited yesterday and enjoyed strolling around the carefully tended gardens bathed in sunshine. Apparently there are 9 cats in different mediums, from topiary to mosaics. I only spotted 3. There's not much to see in the castle but the views from the magnificent windows are fabulous. We lunched in the Cellar Restaurant which was very pleasant. The service was leisurely but we weren't in a hurry so it didn't matter. The staff were delightful and we thoroughly enjoyed chatting with them. All in all, a purrrfect day out.

We had our wedding last Sunday at this venue. Beautiful and everyone working there is so kind and helpful. The catering of the castle was also amazing, our guests told us they loved the food! And no one was left hungry because it was a lot! 10/10 recommend.

It's a lovely castle to visit. It's for free. We couldn't do much because it was raining but in a nice weather, sitting in the gardens would be nice. There seems to be some walking trails around but we couldn't explore due to rain.

TOP 3 CRUMLIN ROAD GAOL REVIEWS

A really interesting experience, and I do mean experience. There are a lot of cool exhibits (including holograms!) and many videos that portray what life would've been like for inmates. There are also sections on escapes with interviews of some escapees! The rich history of Crumlin Road Gaol is delved into during this experience, it's definitely worth a look if you're in Belfast.

I would recommending visiting here as it gives you a good tour about the history of when this prison was in operation. You can see the original cells and prison with a lot to read into about this place. Allow around 90 minutes for your visit.

Fantastic experience, highly recommend people experience this first hand. Tour can easily be 2 to 3 hours access to the car park is off Crumlin road road, going onto cliftonpark ave, taking the available right for the distillery that's rear of the prison.

TOP 3 BELFAST CITY HALL REVIEWS

It was the first place we stopped at when we reached Belfast. The building inspires a sense of awe. The exhibition on the ground floor gives a good explanation of the history of the city, it's prominent citizens and the turbulent times. Would highly recommend the free tour where guide explains about the special Italian marbles and bombing blitz (requires booking). You also get some great photo ops. If you are lucky you can spot people coming to register their marriages. Later we had food at the cafe which was quite delicious. Very friendly staff.

A grand building in the heart of Belfast. The staff are extremely friendly and smiley giving you to a typical Irish welcome. The structure from the outside is imposing with a tone of green and white colours. The statues and parts of the building can do with some cleaning however it could be issue to do with the weather! The building is surrounded by other grand structures which are beautiful in their own right. City Hall is very charming inside. Beautiful decor. The exhibitions are informative and covers various events including articles associated with the Titanic.

This was definitely an interest site in Belfast. It's worth going there to hang out for a while, maybe sit around and take some pictures of the building and some of the sculptures. There are some other buildings worthy of some photographs on the city blocks surrounding City Hall. I'd say it's a must-see while in Belfast.
