3 Best Parks in Newport, UK

What beautiful grounds to come and wander, I love this place whether I go with my dogs, or by myself to get some quiet time, or with my friend to have a catch up over lunch. They serve really nice food in the cafe. The walk is pathed, but there's also grassy areas for the dogs to run about, or just for a sit down. Usually busy in the afternoons, nice to head there in the early/late morning. The pond is nice too, usually see swans or other birds, the wildlife is beautiful. Car parking isn't free, but it only costs a couple of quid, well worth it I say.

We walk the dogs there regularly. It's a shame that so many people drop litter, especially up.by the river. Godstone see that the parkingvfee is being used to.make upgrades in the Park. Dog-friendliness: Great place to walk the dogs off lead.

Large playground with plenty of activities and ample parking. The splash port is amazing. Does get busy on warmer days, but it's quite spacious so not a big deal. Fab day out for the kids. We came up from London (where playground facilities are poor at best) and it was totally worth it.

Great little local park, tennis courts, lawn bowls, local cricket team plays home also. The bottom end of the park has benches for your leisure, big enough grass area for a picnic with the family and children, easy flat access for wheelchair users with toilets also. There's Waunfawr community garden where volunteers work and help preserve various plants, greenhouses and outdoor events for people of all ages to help with the gardening aspect, as well as meeting new people and friends. The top of the park has a football and rugby pitch, with a children's play area also, with seating benches along the way, with a few large trees to sit under in the summer shade as an option. Some nice flowers to look at also. Well worth a visit if you want a relaxing few hours with the kids, your partner, or your family.

Great place to take the kids or the dog for a walk, wide open field, which is great for outdoor sports or letting the dog stretch their legs. As for the park itself, there's enough there to keep the lil ones occupied, benches for picnics etc, the park has been kept very tidy, no rubbish anywhere. There is also a little kids for drinks and some toilets, which are some of the cleanslest public toilets I've been in, there is also a basketball/5-a-side court. Great place!

Really great park with a community garden, toilets, bandstand with occasional concerts. Rugby,Football & Cricket Matches played here during the season. Kids play area as well.
