“City of Norwich Aviation Museum is a volunteer-run museum and a charitable trust committed to preserving the aviation history of the county of Norfolk, England. City of Norwich Aviation Museum began with aviation enthusiasts from the Eastern Counties Omnibus Company. In 1985, the museum relocated to a new site and organised an air show to raise money for expansion. The Aviation Museum has recently developed its exhibition areas and expanded its public awareness campaign. The City of Norwich Aviation Museum offers free entry for children under five.

2025 Update: City of Norwich Aviation Museum welcomes EI-RJN, a 21-year-old Avro RJ85 operated by CityJet.”

Not been in years . Good to see the lions still there. Loved what they are doing with the revamp. Can wait to see what they do with the castle keep. Quick update. We attended a wedding here great location if you are after something different. While waiting you get to see the lions. ... you have to see the lions if you go to Norwich Castle. The ceremony takes place on the art gallery. Some amazing painting on display. Ties up with this trip we did in the underground tour of Norwich.

The castle itself was closed for some heavy-duty building works when I visited, but the galleries were open. A fascinating display of artifacts from the wreck of the 'Gloucester', along with a history of the event. Some lovely art galleries and even one devoted to teapots! Worth combining with the ciity museum.

Norwich Castle Museum is an awesome place . Located in the heart of the city centre . Nice collections and worth spending time with family and friends .Can see many ancient and history.

THE PLANTATION GARDEN REVIEWS

Lovely small garden run by volunteers near the cathedral in Norwich. It felt like a little oasis of calm in the busy city where you could have a picnic and chill out. On a Sunday between 2 and 4 pm in the summer they have live music and you can buy a drink and cake for a very reasonable cost. There's an honesty box to pay for entry suggested price is £2 per person. I thought enjoyed my afternoon there and definitely will be visiting again.

This place is a heavenly haven in the city. Love the quirky walls; you can play spot the gargoyle. Lots of bench to sit and contemplate, plus the fountain goes off at regular intervals. Get yourself some breakfast or lunch at one of the nearby bakeries and come to take a break from the chaos of the world outside.

Beautiful garden even during rain. Many benches, a lot of different paths to discover and some fountains. What I personally like a lot are the information boards with interesting facts about the history of the garden. Perfect place to bring some pastry and enjoy the silence and fresh air.

I can’t say enough about how welcoming this museum is to the public. Absolutely fantastic place -all the staff are so accommodating and knowledgeable about all the exhibits they have on show, so engaging really made the experience worthwhile, museums, like this are so much more engaging than some of the bigger corporate museums ( they are good too ) but museum like this. for me and my son who is 12 years old was totally fascinated by the stories of the staff who actually had worked on some of these exhibits . Thank you to all the staff you made out of a truly fantastic history lesson with all the bells or whistles.

A beautiful, organized exhibition. If necessary, also with interpretation. Also a video presentation. Only fish and chips are missing. Shop with a wide selection of themes. I recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Lots to see and the volunteers are very friendly and knowledgeable. The vulcan viewing is highly recommended.
