TURF TAVERN REVIEWS
A cozy must-visit place in Oxford. Food is delicious, although there are not so many items. Orders must be placed through app. Servers don't come to ask you what you want. Sometimes tavern staff don't know that clients left and you arrived. So, cleaning tables are sometimes neglected. Thatsxwhy I give 4 stars for service. However, overall, bringing food ordered is quite quick and staff are generally polite. In conclusion, I give 5 stars because I enjoyed my visit.
One of the oldest pubs I've ever been to. This one is historic! Beer is better than excellent, food is good. Since I am 6'4" (193cm) the warning "duck or grouse!" was very apt! Commiserating with a fellow sufferer, I wound up meeting a very nice couple and had a great Oxford conversation and a delightful evening. The patience of the staff is frequently tried, by tourists who don't know how to queue, but they mostly handle it well ;)
Amazing place, full of history. The beers are good, although some were not cold at all (and who likes that?). The service was great though, and the toilets super clean.

THE RED LION REVIEWS
The food was amazing! I had the chicken roast. It was delicious. Very filling -- I'm taking some home with me for tomorrow (and the day after!) The servers were friendly and helpful. There's art on the walls that is interesting and modern, and the toilets are wonderful. Would very strongly recommend.
Lovely dinner with the lads. Food was amazing as well as service. Nell did not hesitate when we asked for three portions of Parmesan cheese and delivered it perfectly. Will be comings back again.

THE BEAR INN REVIEWS
Excellent quaint little venue we stumbled across my chance. Mind you head! Good selection of drinks and my friends and I got some vegan food to share. Staff were lovely and friendly. We sat in the back room and I spent most of the time reading the ties. Cracking place!
So cool!!! The best pub in town! The inside feels so authentic The food is better than many other pubs but it’s such a nice place that it easily went crowded.
A great pub full of character didn't eat but the food looked ok. It had a nice selection of beers etc and all staff I dealt with were friendly and polite. As it's an old pub the usual low ceilings and uneven floor caveat applies so certain areas might be a challenge of you are tall or have mobility issues.
