THE HOBBIT PUB REVIEWS
Best pub in the world. Absolutely amazing decor, people chill, pool table is as fun as always. Huge seating area in the back. Drinks weren't over the top expensive, bartender was a tad mean but fair, nice lad. Amazing place for anyone to visit.
I only went in for one drink while visiting southampton.. ended up taking a gorgeous lady home lol hey the ladies love a legionnaire..but seriously if you like an alternative place go there fantastic and different Thank you Tinys GB cycle ride.
Literally the best pub I've ever been to, reasonably priced drinks and gorgeous venue (and it's way bigger than you'd think, the 'garden' bit is huge!). Lovely atmosphere and the staff were so friendly!! Will absolutely be coming here again :)

THE ROCKSTONE REVIEWS
Being both vegetarian and gluten free it's not easy finding a decent burger but I would recommend The Rockstone, especially if you are vegetarian or have dietary restrictions. There were plenty of burger options and staff were very helpful with making this gluten free. I got the veggie patty - which wasn't fake meat, it was actually made of vegetables and really delicious. Service was a bit slow, however I think this was just because we were a large group. So trying to cook 11 different burgers at once can't be easy! Staff were friendly and all of our orders were completely right. I Would recommend and would go again.
I heard about this place for like 3 years. And a few days ago I got to try their burger. Believe me it was worth it. The burger was amazing. Even the staff was very friendly. I really enjoyed the burger but I don't recommend sitting outside. Also I prefer regular fries over sweet potato ones. If you're in Southampton it's a must try place.
Great night out... Food was top-notch. Good price for the "Build your own burger" also had vegan options. Highly recommended..

The Cowherds, located in Southampton, is a charming country pub with a rustic and rural atmosphere. Their idyllic surroundings create the perfect setting for savouring the hearty and seasonal pub cuisine featured on their menu and enjoying the carefully curated selection of cask ales and fine wines available at their bar. Constructed in 1762, their establishment was built on the site of the former cowherd's house. Interestingly, they briefly adopted the name "Southampton Arms" in 1857 before returning to their original name, "The Cowherds," 14 years later. Since then, they have proudly retained their historical name, paying homage to their heritage and their unique location on Southampton Common, recognized as one of the United Kingdom's most significant wildlife habitats.

THE COWHERDS REVIEWS
First time visiting, waited a least 10 minutes for a waitress but then decided to order via the App which was easy enough, food was OK although main took a while to be bought out, good selection on menu, would return again for food and drink.
I have visited many times but I am amazed I have never left a review! I really enjoy this pub. I love the history it’s seeped in. The food is great too. It’s traditional pub food. Only tiny issue is that parking could be a bit tricky.
Excellent place to eat and good prices the staff where exceptional, my daughters order didn't specify chili's in the curry as it said a korma sauce and she's awfull with anything spicy but they re did her something else with no fuss and quite quickly. An overall great experience and I'd definately return next time we are up that way.
