THE EXPLODING BAKERY CAFE REVIEWS
Always wanted to write a few words about this establishment. Great cakes, great choice of coffee (espresso based and filter too). Loving the vibe, the friendly staff and the kind of banter which can be perceived as awkward but it is all about a bit of fun with people who work hard all day to serve sometimes difficult customers (there is always one or two). It is all about keeping it moist with a smile. EB is a place to be proud of and I never forget to visit it during my holidays in Exeter.
Brilliant and authentic cafe, right next to Exeter Central station, offering a range of drinks, fresh bread, sandwiches, cakes, coffee beans and well sourced range of wines, cider, but no beer unfortunately.
Outdoor seating probably the best place to be in Exeter when the afternoon sun is out. Cakes lovely too and coffee art is a nice touch too.

BOATYARD BAKERY & CAFE REVIEWS
What a delightful little cafe! We stopped for coffee and a pastry. The coffee was probably the best coffee I've ever had. Flat white.... So nothing special really but remarkable in flavour. Same with the pastry. We had to buy some bread to take away... So good! Relaxing location to enjoy coffee next to the water watching the boats. Loved it!
Boatyard cafe/ Emma's bread has catered a couple of our breakfast events. The Pan au Chocolat and croissants were flying off the plates! All of our guests commented on how delicious the pastries were!!
What a hidden gem! Gorgeous setting, friendly space and genuinely delicious bakes and coffee… what more could you ask for? I’m so excited for future coffee dates at the cafe!

Growing up can never beat warrens bakery from sausage rolls, gingerbread men, cupcakes to the steak and especially CHICKEN PASTIES which are to die for!! I love the fact the chicken pasties still taste exactly like when I was a kid and haven’t changed absolutely love warrens!!
Delicious cheese and onion pasty. Good pastry, thin slices of potato and onion in a well seasoned cheese sauce. Kept on a hot plate so crispy and firm. None of that soggy microwaved nonsense.
