“Tyepyedong Noodle Bar is a family-run restaurant on Sidwell Street. The restaurant is a contemporary, spartan noodle bar with communal wooden tables serving Chinese and Japanese dishes. The team has over 20 years of experience in the catering industry. They took a new approach to Exeter, oriental fusion food, a mix of Japanese and Chinese food with other Asian influences. They try their best to ensure your food is of the highest quality. Their noodles are cooked in three different ways, they can be served in broth as soups, stir-fried in a wok or boiled and served like spaghetti with stir-fried ingredients in the sauce and carefully layered on top. They also serve vegan dishes and have high chairs for the customers.

2025 Update: The restaurant focuses on providing high-quality, fresh meals without artificial flavourings or MSG. They offer a variety of noodle and rice dishes and can accommodate special requests or dietary restrictions.”

What started as a negative experience turned into a very positive one. We visit this branch reasonably often and never have anything negative to say about it. However, the most recent time we went it took roughly 40 minutes to have our order taken before we were served. However, the chap who eventually served us (Rue) was an absolute delight when he did take our order. The food itself was, as always, lovely. Would definitely recommend.

I’ve dined in many Wagamamas and not any were as busy as this one, yet the food got served hot and quickly. I also want to point out that the service was very friendly. I have never tried their spicy margarita before but I was pleasantly surprised! I’d recommend it if you fancy an alcoholic drink.

Had brilliant Father's day meal. Got there for 12pm and walked straight in, no wait for table. Server was very attentive, everything arrived promptly from drinks to mains. Absolutely smooth experience and amazing food. Will definitely return.

Absolutely amazing! The best food I've had in Exeter for over a decade. Something for everyone in our quite fussy party and so much choice for myself who has complex dietary restrictions. Can't wait to come back to try some more from their wonderful menu. I must also point out that the service was sublime so that everything gelled and came together for the most perfect evening meal out.

It’d be better to make a reservation as they are usually quite full. I was lucky to get a seat without making reservation but the dining time was limited as they need to prepare for the customers with reservations. The broth and ramen taste so good and really love it! The tempura is great as the coating is light, would like to try their sushi next time.

Delicious ramen & delicate tempura. Portions slightly on the small side but the noodles were still reasonably priced. Would like to go back for sushi some time.

Third time going here and each time has been brilliant. They offer an extensive menu, all of it well worth the price, as well as a quick and friendly service. This time I had the beef donburi while my friends had the chicken and beef soup. Will definitely be coming back here again.

Brilliant Chinese food! Can taste a tinge of MSG but still , very authentic. I love the thick sauce of the spicy chicken fried rice. Very nice staff and boss.

Wholesome soup noodles. Nice set lunch with green tea. Great value. The staff have always been really pleasant and attentive. We enjoy eating here.
