Totally forgot a cake, quick google and found cake box… and it was open on a Sunday! Loads of cakes to choose from, we went for a 6” red velvet and what a fantastic choice. Lovely sponge and an amazingly light and tasty frosting very impressed with the cake and a good price as well. Really friendly staff, really happy to pop a message on it for me, couldn’t really ask for more! So massive thank you for being open on a Sunday and for having so many cakes ready to just go, not many places take this risk now, so saved my bacon and saved me from a supermarket cake!

Best cake shop in colchester. I've been in and bought many of these cakes to try since they have opened and I have no faults. The sponge is always light and fluffy and the fruit is always lovely and fresh. I highly recommend.

Every interaction with Raluca was lovely. She's friendly and professional. The video call to dumiscuss what we wanted was so helpful. Tasters and the actual cake was so good in flavour, it was tough choosing flavours. Having seen a sketch of the design after the call, the final cake was above and beyond what we were expecting. So many guest were complimenting it. Highly recommend.

We would 100% recommend Lucas Cakes! Raluca was so friendly during our first call to discuss what we wanted for our wedding. The cake was a hit with everyone and we had lots of comments on how tasty it was. Thank you again, we were so pleased.

Excellant, delicious cakes. I have ordered several big bday cakes from cake storey over the last 2 years. Never been disappointed. Always made as described. Taste amazing. Butter cream great choice. I always show them pictures of cake ideas face to face so no confusion and they always get it spot on. Very helpful staff. Great prices too. Highly recommended.

Absolutely faultless. I rang at 1pm and they had a cake made for collection by 4pm. Honestly the best tasting and lightest sponge I've ever eaten! So fresh and so accommodating! I cannot fault and for the price - such value for money! I didn't have high expectations - absolutely blown my expectations out of the water! I had one very happy 9 yr old! Will definately be a return customer from now on! Thankyou!

Phoned at 10am and picked cake up at 2pm on the same day it was New Years eve as well, was Lovely cake! Everyone said it was the best cake they have had! Will be using every birthdays/celebration just great prices!!
