Some of the best Chinese food I've eaten, all in a wonderful setting and with excellent service. Absolutely gorgeous set menu,with the chilli garlic prawns and seafood mixed platter also great. For dessert, the custard hedgehogs are delicious,imagine a custard filled fritter.

We had a lovely meal at Banquet, easily the best Chinese restaurant I’ve been to in Colchester. The Hong Kong set menu was well sized for two and didn’t leave lots left over at the end, the steamed charcoal lava buns were a nice treat to finish with. Booking is essential here, the waiters are attentive and the food is really authentic with nice décor surrounding you.

Great dining chinese experience. Went here for coz I was craving for dim-sum . environment was lovely with a garden setting that is perfect in summer. Food wise was excellent specially the roast duck and deep fried squid. Hearty soup bursting with umami flavour! Great restaurant for family gathering and dates.

Very friendly staff, happy to explain everything on the menu. Food came out hot, quick and very tasty. There was seven of us and each order was correct and and they were patient with the kids too. Highly recommended.

We tried this restaurant for second time,we went for a buffet first time and was absolutely amazing,and tonight just had dinner ,mini crispy spring rolls,chicken balls, sweet and sour chicken,fried rice and marmite chicken, all tasted absolutely divine,you can tell they were freshly cooked.The owner and the staff are very welcoming and attentive.

This place was really easy to reach, staff very attentive and friendly, quick service, amazing food, defo worth your money for an all you can eat Overall a really great experience never been before but will go back.

I went to China Chef under the impression it was an Indian restaurant. Imagine my surprise when I discovered it was actually a Chinese restaurant. Some friends and I had several fish dishes. All exquisite. Recommended.

The best Chinese restaurant I've eaten at the food is excellent and the service is fantastic.

Excellent food, tasty and fresh. I had Chicken with Cashew in Yellow bean sauce. I have found this dish quite disappointing in many restaurants these days but it was scrumptious here.
