LHL were extremely helpful, being patient with some initial issues with my phone not working when trying to work with them. Sue provided a thorough report in a timely fashion, as well as a call to talk me through the key aspects immediately after the survey, and was very clear on all aspects I needed to know.

We have had two surveys carried out by LHL and on both occasions we found our surveyor to be very approachable and helpful, going out of the way to respond to queries and explain the findings. This level of service is outstanding, thank you Richard.

Had a very positive experience using these surveyors. The service was very personal and positive. The type of the survey they did for us (home movers report) was comprehensive, with a lot of useful information, advise and tips. The person who did the survey was very happy to answer all our questions directly. I would recommend using Charter-Reid for your house survey.

A first class company they saved us time and money on a house survey in York.Jon has an excellent knowledge of construction and building defects. The office staff were very friendly and helpful. Easy to read report that helped us make the purchase.

I have used Jon and his team a number of times, with regards to advice on a new building project and also to check on some potential problems in our house. Always helpful and explains it in a manner thats easy to understand.

I have used Toby in the past and contacted him again for a survey required for my parents. From the initial call with him the survey and report was done within 3 working days! The survey was very useful and direct to the point (not like others i have seen). Will be using him again in the future and will be recommending him to family/friends.

When I’ve had surveys carried out in the past I’ve been unimpressed. Full of caveats with no actually useful information. A report from Toby was the exact opposite. Extremely detailed and full of actionable points. He was also very accommodating and helpful in answering questions.Highly recommended.

Toby surveyed my rented accomodation following issues with damp and mould - very friendly, efficient, and professional. Would definitely recommend.
