Hi I order from robinsons regularly and I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone. The food today was absolutely amazing just like it always is. The young lady that took my order was really lovely and even the delivery driver was so nice and respectful. Thanks again for the perfect food and perfect customer service.

Quality fish and chip shop. It's been going since 1902 for a reason. I always get large cod and small chips and both are always fresh and delicious. Service is always good- you never have to wait long. It's not the cheapest chippy in Chelmsford but it is the best.

The best fish and chip shop around. I have never eaten fish and chips as good as this even at the sea side. It is so fresh and would eat it every day if I could. You must try it as you will not be disappointed.

MR FISH GALLEYWOOD REVIEWS

I'd highly recommend. The fish was golden brown, the chips were fresh and not soggy. The mushy peas were exceptional. I'd certainly recommend Mr Fish if you've not been before.

After trying other fish and chip shops on our holiday we now know we have been spoilt by Mr Fish. Have had fish and chips here too many times to mention. Medium cod always delicious, yes prices have gone up but the quality is so much better than other places we have visited recently. Tasty fish cake, cod roe, haddock. Chips delicious. Staff always helpful and friendly. Establishment always clean and well staffed. Even better if you had onion rings on your menu. Thank you.

Excellent Fish & Chips at reasonable prices without compromising the portion size like others. I have tried all the others over the years but Gold River is the only one who turns out quality fish and chips without issue.

Best fish n chips bar none, also all the staff are wonderfully friendly. Total joy every time. Thanks guys.

Most fish and chip shops pre cook the fish to provide a faster service. Gold River however only cook to order. This ensures the batter is crisp and holds the fish in a golden, crunchy cocoon. I have used this shop for over 20 years and maintain it is the best in Chelmsford. The fish cakes are also something to be tried, almost have a home made quality to them. Still the best in Chelmsford.
