I meet up here with my Sister around twice a year and can never fault it. The photos don't really do justice to the restaurant quality dishes but set in a large country pub, with plenty of seating inside and out. Well worth the short trip out of Chelmsford City, highly recommended.

We had lunch here with my dog and were looked after by Marketa. The food was absolutely amazing and this place is definitely dog friendly! There are treats and dog water bowls and Marketa was so sweet and gave my dog lots of fuss and attention, couldn't have had a better lunch really.

Visited on Saturday for a late lunch with two friends. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and exceptional service from Milena! Very friendly, efficient and attentive but unobtrusive. Thanks Milena! Loved my main, my bakewell tart dessert was a bit stodgy but I still enjoyed it! Would definitely return for the service alone.

We did a bottomless brunch here at the weekend and it was great! The food was lovely, the atmosphere was lively (it being St Patrick's Day weekend) and the drinks included with the bottomless just kept coming! Our server was brilliant and overall we had a lovely time.

Best brunch in Chelmsford! So much food for your money! Jess #1 was so attentive, came over offering drinks when we kept forgetting to order so we got the most for our money.

Went for a bottomless brunch, and then stayed for football. Stevie was a little super star, she also had a table of 13, and despite only being a table of 5 she was super attentive, our food arrived promptly and we managed to make it all the way through the brunch drinks menu during our time slot. Good atmosphere, friendly staff, and definitely value for money. Would recommend.

As a family we all love The Six Bells. There is always a warm welcome and a very trustworthy gluten-free menu. The owner goes above and beyond to ensure a positive experience. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food. This pub really should to be advertised as a star find for anyone with any dietary restrictions. Finally, it still feels like a pub which is an absolute positive in my view! With a fire in the winter and a beer garden for a summer pint.

I always enjoy the six bells. It's a traditional style pub selling good quality traditional pub food. The pie is always amazing. Good selection of beers and friendly staff.

We went for lunch to celebrate a birthday my wife had the fish pie and vegetables, my sister had the sea food salad and I had the beer battered haddock with chips and peas. We all really enjoyed our meals and the service was very good , a nice change to find a pub that serves a decent meal at a reasonable price.
