Very good food, authentic and tasty. The spicy house ramen and Unagi (eel) rice mains were both quality dishes. However slow service for drinks (arrived as we nearly finished) and mistakes in our order forced a mark down for an otherwise 5 star experience.

The best sushi in uk, prepared by the chef with wisdom and mastery. As soon as we sat down it felt like we were on the outskirts of Tokyo, a very nice environment, a very polite waitress who showed us the menu very professionally, helping us with our choice. congratulations and see you soon!

I stumbled upon this place as a short walk from the station and believe it to be one of the best sushi restaurants I’ve visited this year with a great range of veggie options.

Best Japanese food in the North East - have tried other places and been to Japan so always on the lookout! Friendly owner and team. Been visiting even before the expansion, happy to see them doing so well. Great food always attracts, definitely worth the visit! Thank you.

Delicious food, friendly and professional staff, great value for money - especially with the weekday lunch offer! Will definitely be coming back.

Amazing food and reasonable price. Could be my regular visit since I’m a Durham student here. I’ll come back for other dishes next time .

I always come in here and get the same order. I was having a really rough day, came here, and my usual was sold out. But Bing (I think that’s how her name is spelled) was so kind and helped me choose something new. I’d had a hard day and she was so smiley and friendly I was kind of touched by it in a weird way. I love this place and the staff are great… of course special shoutout to Bing. They also always stuff the bowls full which is nice.

The food, service and atmosphere was fantastic! Ordered my usual chicken katsu with rice and it was as delicious as always! I will always recommend to anybody and can't speak highly enough of the friendly staff.

Incredible Asian food. We come here often as it's my ds favourite place in durham. Food is always lovely and the portions are huge for a regular. Always a good range of sushi too.
