THE HEAD OF STEAM REVIEWS
We held our engagement party here and I couldn’t have been happier with how it went. Matt the manager helped us with planning the food and drinks and couldn’t have done more to be accommodating and make us feel welcome. We were given upstairs and allowed to decorate however we wanted, and the food and drinks were top notch. Really casual and nice vibe. Would definitely recommend this place for food and drinks or for private events. Thank you!!!
Found down a little alleyway on North Rd, easy to miss but really cosy and nice, great beer selection, I'm currently sipping on an 8% red beer... staff are friendly and chatty. Worth coming to find. Cheers!
We staied for lunch. Good food and very interesting selection handpump beers . Nice atmosphere and very kind people. To visit in Durham.

The girls and I went for Sunday dinner here, with our furry friends! Excellent service and the chef was very accommodating with my dietary requirements too! Thank you all and you’re doing a great job in the world of hospitality.

THE BISHOPS' MILL REVIEWS
You really do get value for money here, I've paid alot more for lower quality food at other establishments. The location is fantastic, the staff are always friendly and happy to help. We visit every time we are in Durham, other places could learn a thing or two about how to give value for money.
My partner and I visited twice at the quieter, breakfast time of the day, so can’t attest to what it’s like on a busy evening. Plenty of seating inside and out, there is a family friendly area and even then, the whole pub is fairly accessible. Food was what you expect from a Weatherspoons, reliable and decently priced! We ordered from our tables both times and food was quick, as were drinks. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely revisit.
We went for a cheeky afternoon drink. Standard cheap and cheerful Wetherspoons :) Didn't get anything to eat.
