Celebrated our wedding anniversary here and couldn't have made a better choice. Friendly engaging staff, great food and tequila. We started with the amazing Blooming Onion. Crisp batter, not a hint of excess cooking fat. The wife went for the Blackened Salmon bowl. It was well presented, came in a generous portion and was very very tasty. I had Chilli Beef Chimichanga which was soft and crispy in equal measure with great guacamole and a generous portion of chips. All washed down with chilli tequila. Tia's is THE place to eat in Durham.

If you like TRUE Mexican food then this is the place for you! My wife is from America and she says its just like the food you can get over in the state's. Will be back again SOON. Ow and the have an AMAZING vegan menu to choose from.

Had the best meal here! Food was delicious and service friendly and relaxed. Vegetarian options: Lots of options for vegetarians.

Wasn't sure what to expect from this eatery but definitely was not disappointed with the result. Great quality food , freshly made and all at the right price. Had tacos and a burrito supplied by really good front of staff member Alex. Food was delicious and filling. Very impressed and will call again next trip.

Had an issue with just eat so rang the shop and spoke with Molly who was super helpful with an issue that was in no way tortillas fault and I couldn’t have asked for more efficient and helpful service. Once I cancelled my order through just eat and ordered on Uber… Molly kindly advised me they had received the order on their end and my food arrived fresh, hot and tasty shortly after!

Visited for the first time today and the staff behind the counter were very friendly and warm. Food was of a good standard. I had the naked burrito bowl and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Will be returning in the future.

ZAPS BURRITO BAR REVIEWS

We had a Mexican escape this evening and it was simply amazing. Very nice interior decoration, a very cosy and vibrant atmosphere inside, the staff were friendly and helpful. We had burritos and chilaquiles , it was simply the best. Very nice & filling portions and very reasonable prices too. I would like to recommend here for your Mexican food cravings. Thank you.

This is possibly my favourite food in the world. I've come back to Durham this weekend from London partially just to go to Zaps. The nachos and the burrito especially are delicious. Staff always lovely and don't give you small portions. There should be a zaps or Zapatista in every town.

Fantastic food, great value and lovely staff. Great atmosphere and staff go the extra mile. Cannot recommend highly enough!
