Low and Slow Barbecue has another branch in St Nicholas Market. Low and Slow Barbecue was started by husband and wife team, Jack and Lyndsey. Their barbecue is a true labour of love; everything is prepared fresh every day, and sides are topped up throughout service. They smoke all their meats overnight to bring you the freshest barbecue in Bristol. Vegetarian options are also available. They use locally sourced, free-range pork and chicken in all their dishes. For brisket, they choose grain-fed beef because of its rich marbling and flavour. The meats are smoked for up to 20 hours over a blend of maple, hickory, and cherry wood. All sauces are made in-house using their own special recipes to perfectly complement the slow-smoked dishes.

Stumbled upon this place whilst visiting Bristol, wasn't expecting much from a small place but my God did they deliver. The food was outstanding and the service was impeccable. The staff were fantastic with my kids even after they changed their order twice with him. I cannot recommend Spitfire highly enough. We will definitely be back!.

This was our second visit having come here previously a couple of years ago. We thought that the food was great, it can appear expensive from the menu but the quality justified it and it was good value overall. Authentic BBQ food and friendly service.

The food, service and atmosphere were on point. Our meals were amazing. Will be coming back again for sure.

LOW AND SLOW BARBECUE REVIEWS

First time ordered from here, as a recommendation. Had the bbq box with mac and cheese and seasoned fries, along with the brisket fries. I must say, it was well worth a visit. The food was absolutely delicious, very filling and overall very good size. Would definitely recommend to others and maybe come back another time.

Ordered on Uber eats. Got the bbq box that came with fries, brisket, pulled pork and burnt ends. All was delicious but the hgihhtli highlight for me was the bbq sauce it was sweet smokey and had a nice lil kick to it.

Really enjoyed this meal, the meat was so good and really reasonable! And the staff were very friendly and fast. Would highly recommend!.

What a brilliant place for breakfast, brunch, lunch or even afternoon snacks! Have been a few times now most recently during the harbour festival. We were looked after really well and had a selection of the appetizers on offer that day and the Whole Hog (highly recommended!). Jolly Hog scotch eggs are the best I’ve ever eaten. Somehow they manage to retain a soft middle when so many have a disappointingly hard yolk. I’m not generally a fan of coleslaw but the apple and fennel slaw was delicious and I would definitely have it again. Really recommend this place as a brilliant place to stop and watch the world go by while eating some lovely food. The lovely and attentive staff also take special care of our dog as well.

Went for breakfast on Saturday morning during our stay in Bristol when we couldn’t get in elsewhere and we were glad in the end! The breakfast we had was really good and I would definitely go there again if we were ever in the area to try the main menu too.

The Whole Hog is one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Crispy crackling and roast belly pork - amazing. Burnt end fried and buffalo fries, awesome too. Very friendly service, and a lovely atmosphere in the centre of time.
