My favourite fish and chip shop in Bristol. I used to get it delivered when I lived closer, but since moving house, I am not in their delivery radius. I tried other chip shops, but nothing compares to Mario’s! So, I always make the trip over to go and grab my favourite me takeaway when I can. I am vegetarian and they always have good veggie options. I tend to choose their battered halloumi and garlic mushrooms, and they always give me a generous portion of cheese on my cheesy chips too! Would definitely recommend.

We have ordered from Mario's so many times now and they never disappoint. Prices are reasonable for the portion size and quality is always top tier. Fish is so fresh with crispy batter and the chips are perfect. Cod bites are lush, burgers are delicious with fresh salad. Also love the fresh homemade coleslaw. Collection order via their website is efficient and you don't pay as much as on Uber eats. Basically..go to Mario's. You will not be disappointed.

I’m pretty sure I’ve already left a review for Marios Fishbar, but my Google Maps is asking me to leave one again. So I’ve been going to Marios Fishbar for quite some years and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it every time. There’s a great selection on the menu and the even tackle gluten issues for my mother-in-law. They are very busy, so make sure you’ve got plenty of time to wait to get served or try and phone ahead or use their app.

Delicious regular cod- crispy and then flakey inside, great chips!! Not tooo greasy which I loved, loved the tartare, wish it was in a bigger pot because it’s tasty! Mushy peas were cool.

I'm so used to gluten free being something that's only available one day a week at the few chippies that do it that I called ahead to make sure. I'm glad I did because it gave them half an hour head start to prepare my order as well, which was enough time to walk over. But it wasn't necessary. The gluten free batter is made with corn, which does have a distinct flavour. I suppose it's cheaper than the blended flours on the market. Once I understood the flavour I liked it better. I'm happy that they also offer all the fritter options gf too. The portion sizes were decent, we didn't actually finish in one sitting. There was a good range offered all freshly cooked. I just think the mushy peas could have been bigger, I'm used to a full cup and this was barely half of one.
