Popped in for the lunchtime special . Sm. Cod and leg chips around £8.50. Delicious. Great efficient service. Lovely batter and spot on fish. Moist flesh,and a crispy batter. Excellent crispy hot blemish free chips.

We often pop in here because it's local and on the way home. Husband is particularly partial to the fish cakes - he says they are the best he's ever had. I like the fried chicken, always very filling. But because of the many items on the menu we've tried most things depending on the mood at the time. Food is always hot and the service is quick & efficient. All staff are very friendly and always in a good mood.

Perfect pit stop Lunch time special and a cuppa, nice and tasty, cooked to order and served with a smile. We had our food in the sit down cafe which was clean and bright.

Nice fish and chips but portions are small and price is extortionate. You don't get value for money. - Kazza

I recently visited Cod Father, and I must say it’s hands down one of the best fish and chip spots I’ve tried. From the moment I walked in, the staff were warm and friendly, making me feel right at home. The cod? Absolutely out of this world! The portion was enormous, and the fish was cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside. It’s hard to find cod this fresh and delicious anywhere else. And the curry sauce? Spot on! It had the perfect consistency, not too thick or too runny, and just the right hint of spice to pair perfectly with the fish. The portions were generous, the flavors were incredible, and the service was excellent. Highly recommend Cod Father if you’re craving top-quality fish and chips.

I stopped at this halal fish and chips shop on the way home after visiting Cambridge with the wife. The owner was very pleasant and welcoming. He fried a fresh batch of fish and chips, generous portions, crispy batter, succulent fish. Would definitely go back if I’m in the area. Thank you.

The best portion I ever had in Cambridge. Curry sauce is a must and it’s creamy and tasty. Best service by the fellow members out there especially the delivery guys ,so friendly and and greet every time delivering food. Overall excellent service.

First time to eat proper fish and chips in 3 years and I’m glad I discovered The Viking Chippy! I treated myself to the sausage in batter, regular cod and small chips (which were large!) Great, classic chip shop flavour and really friendly and attentive service - thank you.

Popped in here to get mum some fish and chips. Lovely guy, cooked a fresh piece of fish for her. Very generous portion, well cooked and delicious! How I know, well, I might have tried some.

I had an overseas guest and they wanted to 'eat local'. It did not disappoint, the service was also friendly and efficient. Thanks for helping me show my friend something typically English cuisine done right.
