The Eagle Public House is a Historic Pub in Cambridge City Centre. During World War Two, Airmen would leave their messages on the ceiling of the pub using their pocket lighters or using the flame from candles and in some cases lipstick was used. These are now a vivid reminder of our wartime past, an essential fabric to our countries history in wartime and how we went about even during the blitz that we would carry on regardless of the war. This pub serves as Living History of our heroes and heroines from WWII. Everyone should visit this pub. It is Awesome!!!

It's obvious that this is a popular place, at 7 pm on a Sunday there were at least 5 menu items that were sold out, however, what we had was delicious. Black pudding scotch egg, chicken wings and curry (I had chicken tikka & my husband had the king prawn) were what we chose & we were not disappointed. The peanut chutney needs a accompaniment to the curry, that I could have eaten a huge bowl of, delicious! Just waiting for pud & coffee and I am quite sure they will be yummy.

Good beer selection of their own brews and others. Food was good too, with large portions. Lots of space in a modern style bar.
