We found this hidden gem on our visit to Portsmouth whilst we were visiting another restaurant but changed our mind last minute to visit here and did not regret it! The food was very authentic and amazing. The service by Sakshi was excellent. Good ambience and attention to detailed staff. We tried the Sev Puri and Chaat for starters followed by the Railway lamb and Konkani chicken. We then had the masala chai after our delicious meal. We will visit again no doubt.

Excellent food and great atmosphere. We shared the railway lamb, kokhani chicken, house chaat, gunpowder potatoes which were really flavourful and large portions throughout. Don't miss the pineapple chutney with poppadoms. Never had anything quite like it and was excellent. We will be back, thank you!

First class dining experience. The place has a great vibe, attentive and helpful staff and the quality of ingredients in our dishes from an not oversized menu all added to an enjoyable evening. Just one very minor note : Please consider chilling your tap water. Highly recommended. Best to book on Saturdays. Thank you DESI.

I had the pleasure of visiting Akash Restaurant with my husband and one of his friends recently, and I must say, it was an incredible experience. The ambiance was absolutely delightful, creating a perfect environment for our dining experience. The food was nothing short of spectacular, offering an authentic taste that left us thoroughly impressed.

What truly stood out was the exceptional service provided by the restaurant owner. He displayed a remarkable level of professionalism and courtesy throughout our visit, ensuring that we had a memorable dining experience.

I had the Prawn Biyrani it was so delicious and flavorful,came with a curry side dish which was also delicious. The Naan was so soft and tasty,it complented the curry so well. The samosas are best I had in Portsmouth. Service delivery was okay as well,the music was also good too. Highly recommend.
