We had a delicious meal at Wagamama in Portsmouth. I had the Firecracker Curry and some of my party had ramen. While the restaurant was quite busy, we were seated quite quickly, and the service was excellent. Our food was ready quite quickly and it was delicious. That meal was my first Wagamama experience and I can easily recommend the one in Portsmouth in Gunwarf Quays.

Came here for my son’s birthday. Jenna and Red were so lovely and helpful….and all of the other staff too. The ambiance were amazing and to food come so quick apart from the allergy order. Overall good experience!

This waga experience was incredible; the chefs added flavour and balance to each dish. The staff were informative and quick to serve. Would be nice to be offered chop sticks but otherwise a flawless experience during a busy payday service on Saturday.

I’m late posting this review as we came back in ‘Oct 23, but had to take the time to highly recommend Sakura. We booked whilst on a stay locally and it was one of the highlights of our trip. My boy is 10 and hugely into his Ramen. Being Autistic he can be very unadventurous but he tried and loved everything! It’s really opened him up to trying new things which is so wonderful. The way the restaurant is set out he really felt comfortable & relaxed into the evening too. The food came quickly (which again is great with kids!), was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious!! We felt very reasonably priced also. Great atmosphere and perfect service. Definitely try and book in advance as it’s not a huge space and very popular (there was a queue when we left). Can’t wait to visit again when we are in the area.

I've been to Japan twice, and I always complain about how the food here in the UK is different from the food in Japan. I came to Sakura at the suggestion of one of my friends, and I can say that this place has the most authentic Japanese taste you can find in the UK (well, at least around Portsmouth). The atmosphere is fantastic, and the service is very good. I will definitely visit again.

Came here for a birthday dinner date, some of the best sushi I've had in a while, really wholesome vibes, was a bit of a squeeze but its really cosy, nice atmosphere! Definitely recommend!

Amazing hidden gem. Food was great quality. The lobster was prepared beautifully and tasted super fresh. The salmon sashimi just melted in your mouth. Definitely going back to try the rest of the menu!

I had a wonderful meal here with my boyfriend, we had the chicken coconut hotpot which was absolutely delicious, the food is so fresh, I could not fault it at all. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The decor is cosy and intimate. It is so rare to have this experience dining out these days. We will absolutely be back and are looking forward to trying more delicious food!

Carefully and skilfully prepared authentic Japanese food. Love every dish I have ordered, especially their maki with salmon is very delicious. The marinated raw prawn is a must to order for. It is marinated with kimchi.
