Truly delicious food and a lovely atmosphere provided by the staff, even on a Tuesday. We sat at the Chef’s Table which was fascinating and the chef and his team were lovely. Excellent quality dining experience without the snobbery (poached cod and burrata pictured).

Right on seafront. Nice atmosphere with roaming sax player on a Sunday. No fish special that day, but the selection we ordered was excellently executed. This kitchen knows what it’s doing. Gluten Free options and knowledgable staff. Good beverages, very comfortable, clean and modern interior. Food descriptions on images. Really good visit, would mark as a favourite when back in area.

The Briny is a restaurant that deserves 5-stars and was my best meal in Portsmouth. You will find fresh ingredients, beautiful cooking technique, and an excellent understanding of flavors. I loved every dish you the point that we probably over-ordered. We got the Native Octopus Carpaccio Salad, Cured Romsey Trout, Kentucky Fried Trout, Fish & Chips, and Poached Cod. Everything was just so good. For dessert, we had the Yoghurt Panna Cotta and the Banana Cheesecake. I would highly recommend The Briny to anybody who loved seafood and great food.

10/10 food was brilliant but our waiter Will was exceptional, unfortunately its very hard these days to find a friendly, accommodation waiter who goes above and beyond and clearly loves his Job, he was especially great with our 11 year old son who decided to try the lobster and showed him exactly how to break it and eat it, Will was just so happy and just brilliant. It was our first time at relentless and he made it one to remember. Thank you so much Will.

Absolutely SUBLIME restaurant. We ordered the steak experience for two with a extra side of half lobster and it did not disappoint at all. Well worth the money! All Steaks were cooked PERFECTLY to the chefs recommendation. Our waitress Charlie was incredible and so friendly and welcoming. She really added to our experience. We can not recommend this place enough. As FAR our new favourite steak house.

Love this place. My new coz I am a proper foodie. I can’t wait to come back again. Julie and Laura were fantastic attentive and kind. The steak was the best I have tasted.

This seafood shop is absolutely unparalleled! I highly recommend their seafood platter(seafood selection) and whelk meat, which are definitely the highlights here. The seafood platter is fresh and plentiful, and the whelk meat is tender and juicy. The owner is very friendly and the décor of the shop is also beautiful, simple yet cosy. This place is a perfect choice If you come to Portsmouth. Highly recommended! Five stars.

Hi, I hope the owner reads this. I ordered jellied eels and I love it so much! The whelks are perfect, the cockles are good too, but they're a bit sandy haha. I wanted to tell him in person but the shop closed shortly after I enjoyed the seafood I bought. Anyways, 10/10 reasonable price, fresh food, and the owner is sooo nice.

Exceptionally good service, what a kind man, very friendly, gave us a little bit extra seafood, some sweets, recommended sauces to go with food and, oh, “fill them up right to the top!” :D Very good, I recommend getting the seafood mix.
