Honestly the best Sushi place i found south of Bath, it is very homie inside, very comfortable, perfect for a date, business gathering, or friends enjoying a dinner out. Service was great, fast, the food leaves you speechless. Will surely come back! Parking: just in front St Andrews rd, you have few hours free parking instead of the paied parking i front on the main street.

We tried out a couple of Malaysian/Singaporean, as well as Japanese dishes at this restaurant. Really loved the food, service and ambiance that we went there twice in our day in Portsmouth. The price vs portion was also good. We really loved the beef rendang, char kueh tiaw and the mee goreng mamak. Also loved the teriyaki and tempura combo set. We also ordered the Singaporean Vermicelli and Nasi Goreng, which were not bad. We were informed by our server Derek that the chicken and beef are halal. Highly recommend the restaurant.

Really nice atmosphere, lovely decor & very spacious. Food was unreal! A lot of choice for food and value for money. You have to try the sea gourmet sashimi starter! Service was amazing, very friendly and attentive staff. Elena was brilliant, will come back soon. New fav restaurant :)

KUMO JAPANESE RESTAURANT REVIEWS

We've been here a couple of times now and the food is always amazing! It's always so flavorful and the portions are just right too. We usually end up here for lunch and I'm still surprised that these tables aren't filled, with the staff being really friendly and polite to boot. If you haven't eaten here you're missing out! If you've not had Japanese food yet, this is the place to go to get your teeth into the more well known as well as delicious side of the cuisine. Highly recommend.

Love the sushi board (platter C I think) where you can try many different things in one without having to order lots of little bits. Fish is very fresh and top quality ?? only thing is it's a little cold in there! Cannot recommend the set enough.

I’ve been here several times since its first opening, the food is amazing, authentic and some of the best tasting sushi / ramen in the area. I would recommend visiting. Pleasant experience and the waitresses are always polite and courteous. Overall 10/10.

Excellent Japanese and Korean restaurant. When we entered the restaurant it was quiet, however this was fantastic, the waiter came and discussed many house specials and talked us through the menu. We ordered edamame beans, vegetable gimbap, takoyaki, vegetable ramen and seafood yakisoba. All the food was amazing, reasonably priced and service throughout the meal was great, we will definitely return.

Amazing food! The udon noodles were perfectly cooked, the homemade kimchi was perfectly fermented and spicy in a perfect way. The servers were super nice and helpfull, the atmosphere was amazing and really cozy. Dining there was a blast! We felt so comfortable and everyone was enjoying themselves.

The food and the service were both excellent! The staff were very friendly. Everything we had were delicious. Oh and they are dog friendly too ! Will certainly be back soon.
