3 Best Mediterranean Restaurants in Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK

We were staying at the local lodges and booked this place for the first day it was open based on the reviews. It was so good we went back the following day. We couldn’t fault the place. Every member of staff we spoke to was exceptionally polite, helpful and friendly. The owner clearly also making an effort to speak to his customers. It was obvious that there were many returning guests which probably tells you all you need to know. We chose the lighter options as it was clear that the portions were generous. Based on our main course experience I am sure that starters and desserts would have been equally delicious but it would just have been that step too far for us. Lovely food, service and ambience.

We stumbled across this restaurant and we’re so glad we did - the food was beautiful! For starters, my boyfriend and I both had the calamari. The portion sizes were brilliant and it was hot and fresh. The mains were what stood out to us. I had chicken stroganoff with garlic potatoes and vegetables. There was plenty of chicken and even more sauce which was beautiful. The potatoes were delicious too and it was lovely and hot. My boyfriend had steak with surf and turf, and a blue cheese sauce. The steak was cooked perfectly and both the topics were both to die for, again served nice and hot. We had no room for dessert which we were gutted about! The staff were so friendly and made us feel at ease with the covid guidelines. On this note, it was very covid secure with a one-way system, hand sanitiser on the door and a traffic light system in the toilets. We will definitely return! Thanks so much :-).

Just called in, without reservations in the hope of being fed! We were welcomed no problem and seated at a lovely table! The 3 course specials menu was fantastic value at £8.95 each, with lots of choice. We had the pate and mushrooms, followed by the most AMAZING lasagne each, we declined ice cream and opted for the nicest of coffees. The service was outstanding, staff lovely and friendly. We will certainly be adding this place to our favourites list.

I had a fantastic experience! The food was delicious — the chicken wraps were packed with flavor and perfectly grilled, and the fries were crispy and well-seasoned. The sides added a nice freshness and crunch to the meal, and the sauces complemented everything really well. On top of that, the customer service was excellent — friendly, attentive, and made the whole visit feel welcoming. Definitely a place I’d come back to.

I took my daughter, my friend and her two kids for a birthday. We were greeted by Maria and were given the whole of upstairs to ourselves and I'd mentioned about the birthday and they'd done a load of balloons which I thought was so nice so thankyou for that.

Syrian/ Lebanese food. We ordered king size mix grilled platter. Baba ganoush dip and piri piri chips. Loved their grilled wings and chips were too good. It cost us £48 included service charge. Their service is very quick. Staff Tariq was very friendly and gave us Syrian coffee and Syrian dessert as complimentary. Dessert was very delicious.
