POLLEN BAKERY REVIEWS

It was our second visit to Pollen Bakery this past Thursday and it was still busy but we were well taken care of. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. We both had Turkish eggs and we are familiar to the classical version, however Pollen does it with a twist with green peas and wild chanterelle mushrooms which I love and seem to be hard to find. It was so flavourful and well balanced. Served with the sourdough bread freshly baked on site. Their seasonal blackberry danish was so delicious I had to tell everyone at work to try it we will definitely be back. My friend said the almond croissant was the best she’s ever had. We also have to make sure next time we come early enough to get pain au chocolat too.

Amazing Scandinavian style bakery located right in the heart of Islington wharf. The kids and I had been exploring Mayfield Park (approx 15 mins walk from the wharf) and decided to head to Pollen for some brunch. The bakery was extremely busy when we arrived, however this didn't deter us from waiting for a table. We chose to sit inside but there were several seats outside too. Our servers were very friendly and despite the wait the food and coffee was exceptionally good and very reasonably priced. The egg breakfast muffin was delicious and the neapolitan cookie was very enjoyable.

We ordered basque cheesecake ham and cheese croissant iced caramel latte and a flat white they are all PERFECT !! The cheesecake is so creamy and not too sweet ! The coffee is the type that i like not too bitter and sour its just perfect u know.

On Valentine's day me and wife both took off from work and decided to start the day with an amazing breakfast. We decided to go to this place. The whole place has a beautiful nature fragrance of bakery stuff. We decided to have poppy seeds Bagel with cream cheese, Cappuccino and egg sausage ciaba. Our breakfast was delicious. Mine best were the sausages which were made with the perfect combination of herbs & spices. Overall we loved it. I highly recommend. Sharing some photos. This place has seating outside.

Outstanding service and PROPER cold meats which are FAR cheaper than Tesco or Sainsbury's or Waitrose. An AMAZING selection of traditionally baked goods that are fresh each day. This place is wonderful. A great asset to South Manchester. Get some cash. Support a local business that employes local people and provides an authentic and superior service.

I pop in Barbakan most Fridays to pick up stuff for lunch and stuff for my mum too. Always a great atmosphere, lovely friendly staff and great food on offer. Probably the best beigels and tomato bread I've ever tasted.

Been coming here for many years after a friend introduced me to it. Love chinese bakeries and especially this one. The cakes are so fresh, light, and fluffy, and I love the combination of ingredients they use like the sweet lotus bean, black bean and the pineapple buttercream and taro whipped cream. Just delicious, and all made fresh on site. So many choices for both savoury and sweet tastebuds.

A really nice quaint bakery well tucked in Princess street. Got great cakes , biscuits and pastries. Contactless/ card payment not allowed not allowed only cash or bank transfer. Prices are very reasonable and their cakes are to die for. Overall a brilliant place for a quick snack and carry some bread home to munch on later in the day with some high tea

Absolutely delightful egg tart with a perfectly flaky crust and tasty custard filling - sheer heaven! The peanut butter “pancake” was amazing as well: just the right ratio of crunchy peanut butter filling to mochi-like pastry. Highly recommend this bakery!
