CITY RESTAURANT REVIEWS

This restaurant is a very solid performer in a city where food quality may often be a hit or miss, like in many other tourist oriented cities. The food is great. They really put effort into bringing to your table a good dish. The menu has plenty of options. The service was very friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming. My sea bass was delicious. That brownie was worth it. If you are looking for a good meal after a long walk in the city, you will not be wrong coming here. Enjoy.

Comfort food but more. Food was delightful. We had the Hagis and gluten free fish and chips. Ended with vegan cheesecake and ice cream. All of it was really good.

I’ve been coming here on and off for years and it was still great on my most recent visit. Good fish n chips, washed down with Innis and Gunn original, and the prices fair enough for standard and the fact central Edinburgh increasingly a tourist Disneyland.

BERTIES PROPER FISH & CHIPS REVIEWS

Bertie's was quite busy on a Saturday lunch, but they were able to fit us in with a short wait. This is a heavily reviewed restaurant and well-regarded, for good reason! The haddock is delicious - so often, fish is overcooked and lacks flavor. Here, the batter actually has some flavor, the fish has a definite texture. The chips are good, but not mind blowing. The asparagus soup was good, as was the steak pie. We loved the toffee milkshake as well. Service was fast given how busy the restaurant was at the time and there was a fun ambiance. We were quite satisfied with the experience.

The atmosphere was lovely, very cozy and inviting. The fish and chips were absolutely delicious and filling. Also, our waiter Angus was so sweet, friendly, and helpful, making our experience even better. We tried the Edinburgh lager, and it had a fantastic taste. Definitely give this place a try.

The restaurant was vivid, fun and busy. Great atmosphere and would highly recommend. The haggis spring roll was delicious. We had the best fish & chips here on our last day of our trip in the UK.

Fantastic! I ordered online and called them up to check the order. They were very nice and happy on the phone and were helpful to my questions. I ordered a Hogie wrap and it was massive, lots of cheese and kebab was tasty. I got 2 cakes carrot and Victoria sponge (very tasty and fresh) The delivery person was kind when it took my a moment to get to the door and was very friendly. All in, all a brilliant experience will order again and have recommended to friends.

Friendly staff on phone and accommodating to weird asks. Fast delivery with fresh food. Can't ask for any more. Thank you.

Ordered the House Special Kebab - Gigantic portion, would serve like 4 people, super tasty, if you are ordering from them I would recommend trying this one.
