“La Garrigue is a traditional French restaurant serving original and classic dishes. They opened in 2001. The Languedoc largely inspires this; La Garrigue offers rustic family-style cooking, complementing a large selection of the best wines from this area of France known as "Le Midi". This amiable bistro features French art, artisanal furnishings, hearty Languedoc cuisine, and a selection of French wines. They feature rustic Tim Stead tables and chairs and original paintings by Andrew Walker from hometown Bedarieux and village Combret. The restaurant is themed around Languedoc food and wines. La Garrigue is Gordon Ramsay's favourite French bistro. They change their menu periodically. La Garrigue has excellent views of Calton Hill and is minutes from Waverley Train Station and the famous Royal Mile. They are a perfect venue for private lunches or dinners; they can accommodate more significant functions for up to 50 people. High chairs are also available.”
