3 Best Bakeries in Edinburgh, UK

Mimi's is definitely one of my favourites and I have supported them since they opened their first place here in Leith, 13 years ago. I can never see past the French Toast with bacon and maple syrup and of course a wee cupcake or 3! A great spot for catching up with friends, treats for mum or a solo cuppa coffee and a cake.

Absolutely amazing, we were here celebrating our 25th silver wedding anniversary, we got a lovely free red velvet cupcake. The afternoon tea was so nice with free beverage top ups. The cakes were amazing but far too much to eat so we took a box home for the kids.

We had a great time at Mimi's, the food was of excellent quality with good portion sizes and the cakes were delicious, highly recommend the jammy slice.

I had a fantastic experience at The Sicilian Pastry Shop! Everything was perfect, from the friendly Italian girl who helped me book my cake to the delicious final product on the day of my birthday. The cake was exactly what I requested - superior, light, and tasty. All of my guests loved it. They made my 30th birthday even more special. Next time, I will definitely order a larger cake so that I can have a second slice I’m looking forward to going back!

Came here for breakfast everyday of our trip. The cakes are delicious; fresh and decadent! And some of the best arancini I’ve ever had! Love that you can see them making the cakes too. The prices are really affordable. Definitely paid more for smaller portions and less quality! Thanks so much, guys!

2nd year that I get my birthday cake from them. The full fruit cake is really great, light and very flavourful. Had many compliments from my guests! See you next year ;)

The latte art is impressive! The puff called Paris-Edinburgh stuffed with hazelnut cream (I guess) is the highlight of the visit. Flan framboise with raspberry is different compared to I had. I like it and worth try but I won’t rate it as a highlight. It tastes like pudding and I feel the jammed fruit. I usually not a fan of a base, however, I would say the base is perfect that I am willing to enjoy it.

Wonderful small patisserie in the middle of Edinburgh, victoria’s street ! Nice ambiance and fresh food ! We tried the chocolate eclair, tarte au chocolat, tartelette framboise and to top it all off, we tried their Ecossais sandwich (salmon and cream cheese) by their fresh made bread ! Definitely recommended for a small break while walking around the city.

This was my favorite place to eat during my stay in Edinburgh! Gluten-free options, macaroons, brunch foods, excellent pastries, teas, coffee, etc. The staff are so friendly and it is such a cute place. I went multiple times!
