Wow! What a treat! We popped into Bettys for a quick drink and a cheeky cake before we explored what York had to offer! And my goodness it was worth it! The drinks were splendid! The bakes were incredible and bursting with flavour! The staff were very polite and the service they gave was amazing. So professional and really added to the regal vibes and atmosphere of the place! I’d love to visit again and try the cream tea! For those thinking of visiting, it isn’t a cheap “pop out for a coffee and cake”. But for the service, the atmosphere, the standard and the food/drinks it is more than worth spending a few extra pennies! Enjoy!

A great experience. A must do once on a visit to York. Only drawback for us were the amount of stairs fir my 85 year old mum to climb up and no lift. This was for the precooked afternoon tea. If you just queue it is on the ground floor. Beautiful place. Lovely cakes. Great staff. Shop us good too. Sells large selection of cakes etc. It is very expensive but worth it as a once in a lifetime treat.

Betty's provides a first class afternoon English tea experience. The tea is high quality, the pastries are excellent and the service is attentive. The location in York is charming as well. It is a bit crowded at busy times but our patience was rewarded with an enjoyable and memorable occasion.

Anni and Ervin supplied the cake for our wedding, and were fantastic from start to finish! They were very responsive with their emails, met us for a cake tasting to tailor our wedding cake however we liked, and were very knowledgeable about the whole process. Our cake turned out perfect, looking and tasting just as we hoped and the guests were still talking about it days later! They also helped in allowing all guests to enjoy cake by providing vegan and gluten-free mini-cakes on the day. Would highly recommend them for any event!

Last year on my birthday, as a student in the UK away from home, my parents surprised me with a beautiful cake and flower bouquet from this bakery all the way from another country! Even though they placed the order from abroad, everything was handled perfectly.The cake was not only beautiful but also absolutely delicious, and the flowers were fresh and stunning. Everything was prepared and delivered with so much care it truly felt like a warm hug from home. Thank you for making my day so special. You didn’t just deliver a cake and flowers, you delivered joy.

Anni very kindly made a beautiful cake for our gender reveal. She was friendly and accommodating, cake looked and tasted great, price more than reasonable. Brilliant service from start to finish. Thank you so much! We would not hesitate to come back for more when we next have a special event.

This place is AMAZING! Ok, not only are the cheesecakes (yes plural, I tried two flavours!) just incredible...proper, New York style cheesecake which I have missed SO much, but they staff are just SO sweet and welcoming and the branding and vibe of the place just makes it. Made my day stumbling across this place today.

We ordered 2 cheesecakes as our wedding cakes and this was the best plan we have had. They looked beautiful and were absolutely delicious. So many guests complimented them and talked about how delicious they were. Will 100% be getting more cheesecake from here when we are in York!

The best cheesecake I've ever eaten in my life. I should have bought two slices, I'm looking at the last piece and getting sad. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The store is located on the coolest street in York.
